In 2012 I was hired as the Visual Director: Archival Material and Title Design on The Punk Singer: A Documentary Film about Kathleen Hanna. This uniquely created position was to oversee the aesthetics of the graphics in the film, and make sure they were in line with Kathleen's artistic vision and the unique aesthetic of her work. I created graphics such as opening titles, lower thirds, and stop motion animations from her archival material. Additionally I created online graphics and DIY printed flyer promos for its debut at SXSW. The Opening Band Films typewriter animation was shot in my studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn on a vintage 60's Olivetti Typewriter.
