Splendid Corp. was pleased to design a book published in honor of radio station WFMU's 20 year history of great freeform radio programming.
The Best of LCD: The Art and Writing of WFMU was written by WFMU DJ Dave the Spazz and takes you on a tour through the articles on music and culture and underground comic art that graced the pages of their LCD program guides in the 80's and 90's. It includes work by artists such as Harvey Pekar, Nick Tosches, Chris Ware, Daniel Clowes, Ken Freedman, Luc Sante, Johnny Marr, Daniel Johnston, Tony Millionaire, Pat Moriarity, and many more.
Splendid Corp. tried to stay true to the feel of the original zines while compiling them in an easy to flip through and readable compendium to this great era in freeform radio.
